Ashleigh, our Employment Specialist for the Coventry & Rugby area shares her top three Confidence Building Tips to help you in 2022!
- Visualisation
Visualisation is a great technique to enhance confidence. Start by picturing how you would like your life to look this time next year. You can start using this technique every day to help you achieve your goals and dreams. “Seeing” yourself succeed helps you believe that it can and will happen!
- Goal Setting
With your visualisation in mind, start creating goals or milestones to help you achieve this! That could be starting a training course to upskill yourself or reaching out to someone for that extra support and guidance. Frequently reflect on the progress you are making, accomplishing goals can support with self-confidence. Research shows capturing your small wins everyday can enhance motivation and boost self-confidence.
- What’s the one thing you can do right now?
What one, simple thing could you do today to get you off the starting line? Focus your energy on things that are within your control.
Who is accountable for change? Hopefully you’re immediate thought was, me! Think about what is working for you and what isn’t. Identify the areas you would like to change. Ask yourself what is your intention for wanting to change. Be Reflective and think about what you would do differently.
