Shaw Trust is delighted to announce that our CPA5 Work and Health Programme contract has been named the number one provider of the Work and Health Programme against other national primes across the last 12 months.
The Work and Health Programme (WHP) provides tailored support to help people overcome their barriers in order to secure sustained employment.
Tom Harris, Regional Operations Manager says: “I’m extremely proud to say that over the last 12 months we have supported more than 4,380 people, helped 3,082 participants gain employment and 1,853 of those reach sustainable employment outcomes with many more working towards this goal.
Along with the many lives we have positively impacted and changed, we can also say that we’ve been delivering the WHP with an excellent level of customer service, having recently achieved 100% on our external DWP Provider Compliance Officer audit. This was the first time we had ever delivered 100% since contract inception.
This achievement couldn’t have been possible without the dedicated, passionate and collaborative team of Area Managers, Support Managers, Supply Chain Partners, Inclusive Employment Consultants, Specialist Supply Chain, Volunteers, Compliance Team, Customer Service Teams, Health Network, Skills Network, National Accounts and Support Services that have made this possible.”
Here’s what our team have to say about the achievement:
“Every individual who has helped work with or contribute to shaping the lives of our participants we are privileged to work with should be proud of the achievements in the last 12 months. During a period of multiple changes, the team has remained resilient and adaptable at every turn and embraced the positive developments we have made at Shaw Trust to enable our staff to deliver to the best of their potential.
Being number one in the last 12 months is a fantastic accolade and is testament how we help impact many lives every day. Be proud and keep up the great work!” Jenny Dillon – WHP Contract Director, CPA5 & CPA1
“The great performance figures for CPA5 show how many lives we have changed for the better on Work and Health Programme. Behind every number is a person who has joined WHP and moved forward in their life with the support from Shaw Trust. It is good to see the work that delivery teams do on a daily basis is having such a big impact.
One of my participants, R Young joined WHP with various physical health conditions so there were limitations on the type of work he could do. However, through commitment, a tailored action plan and one to one support he secured employment with Medway Hospital as a Cleaning Operative in December 2021. He received In Work Support fortnightly and has reached outcome. He is enjoying his job and is thankful for the support and guidance provided by Shaw Trust.” Debbie Davey – Support Manager, CPA5
“I am very proud and pleased to know that CPA5 has achieved number one spot for R12M. It is personally very rewarding and I feel a sense of personal achievement that I have contributed towards this. It also illustrates that all the Support Managers and the wider team on the WHP are passionate about making a positive difference to peoples’ lives.
I had a specific participant last year referred to the WHP with various barriers to overcome including severe health issues, financial difficulties and age. From the very start, I took a holistic person centred approach in order to help and support the participant to overcome their barriers into employment. I have supported the participant with motivation and confidence building, identified reasonable adjustments, supported financially in work (travel and clothing) as well as moral support whilst in work. As a result, the participant’s outlook towards work has made a 360 turn, having no confidence of ever starting work to now working overtime.” Gerda Vaiksnoraite – Support Manager, CPA5
I’m looking forward to another year of making a difference to the lives of the participants we work with and finally a massive congratulations and well done to each of you working on the CPA5 WHP!
